Phil Taylor will begin the defence of his inaugural Champions League title against his Stoke native and protege, 2x back to back world champion Adrian ‘Jackpot’ Lewis.
Also in Group A are two dutch maestros, Raymond van Barneveld and Michael Van Gerwen who will face off in another thrilling potential encounter between two of the best in the game.
Group B on the other hand will start with UK Open Champion and world number 3 Peter Wright taking on multiple time major finalist and debutant in the Champions League in Dave Chisnall and on the other hand Gary Anderson has the test of another debutant in Austria’s number 1 Mensur Suljovic.
On Saturday evening, there will be the second set of the matches with the winners playing each other and the losers winning each other and the losers also playing each other then it will conclude on the Sunday with the top two of each group going through.
