As the World Matchplay edges closer with the draw and schedule being confirmed for the showpiece event which takes place in Blackpool from next weekend, we take a look at another classic tie.

This is in the form of Phil Taylor and James Wade’s clash in the 2006 World Matchplay final. It saw Taylor win the famous trophy for an eighth time in an 18-11 win in the final.
