Due to Coronavirus, for the time being there is no darts currently on television. DartsNews as a result takes a look into history to look at some of the best moments from the past.

Wes Newton may not be on the PDC circuit at the moment but not long ago, he was one of the most exciting players to watch and he played in the World Matchplay eight times.

He reached the Quarter-Finals in 2011 and 2014 but in 2012, he put in what people could call his best display when he hit a nine-dart finish.

For the two-time major finalist, he began with 180, 177 and left 144 not going the conventional route but he smashed in the requisite checkout and despite losing out to Justin Pipe in the end he left his mark on proceedings.
