Due to Coronavirus, darts has come to a halt but DartsNews as a result takes a look back at some historic moments from darting history with this time Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen being the focus.

Undoubtedly, Wright will often remember the 2017 Premier League Darts final as the one that got away almost as he missed six match darts to beat Van Gerwen.

The current world champion left 32 in the nineteenth leg after nine darts. He got six darts to claim the victory, but couldn’t get over the line. Van Gerwen took advantage in brilliant fashion via double 10 and then following that snatched the Premier League title from ‘Snakebite’.
