Due to Coronavirus, for the time being there is no darts currently on television. DartsNews as a result takes a look into history to look at some of the best moments from the past.

Today we look back at a moment that happened exactly two years ago, Michael van Gerwen throw a nine-dart finish during the European Darts Matchplay. It was the first nine-dart finish on the European Tour since 2013.

The World Number One went 180, 177 and then he hit a 144 to finish it off winning the match 6-2. He has since added to that hitting one during the European Darts Open last year.
