Daryl Gurney was the most high-profile casualty in the last 64 of UK Open Qualifying 4.

The Northern Irishman, and world number five, was dumped out by Jeffrey de Zwaan. The Dutchman’s 6-3 win earns him a last 32 clash against Matthew Edgar. Michael Smith was another high-profile casualty. Andrew Gilding beat the Bully Boy in a 6-5 thriller. Rob Cross was in imperious form, averaging 114 as he thrashed Mike de Decker 6-1. Rob Thornton and Terry Jenkins both took 6-0 wins, against Zoran Lerchbacher and Jamie Caven respectively. Gary Anderson beat Martin Schindler 6-3, while Raymond van Barneveld set up a last 32 meeting with Gerwyn Price. And it looks as if John Part has done enough to make it to Minehead. The two-time world champion beat Dave Ladley 6-4.
