Corey Cadby is mounting yet another fine run in UK Open qualifying.
The Australian averaged 106 in a 6-2 last 16 victory over Kim Huybrechts in Wigan. Another 6-2 winner was John Goldie, who overcame Michael Smith. Defeat for Bully Boy confirms that Michael van Gerwen will be the top seed at the UK Open. Goldie will play Rob Cross next. An 11-darter in the tenth leg secured a 6-4 win over Ted Evetts for the world champion.
Peter Wright was pushed all the way by Simon Stevenson, but struck double five to win 6-5. Krzysztof Ratajski rattled in a 101 average as he beat Carl Wilkinson to reach the quarter-finals. He plays Cadby next. David Pallett has wrapped up his Minehead spot. He beat Mike Norton 6-3 to set up a meeting with Snakebite. Danny Noppert needed to earn money today to have a chance of making it to Minehead. The Dutchman has done that in fine style. A 6-1 romp against Steve West sets up a quarter-final against Daryl Gurney. Superchin beat Jonny Clayton 6-4 in the final last 16 tie.
