Krzysztof Ratajski has the chance to win his first Pro Tour title at UK Open Qualifying 6.

The World Masters champion defeated PDC world champion Rob Cross 6-5 in a stunning semi-final. Cross opened with an 11-darter, going seven darts into a nine-dart attempt before checking out 52. That was a break of throw, but the Polish Eagle struck to break back. Ratajski burst into a 4-1 lead, before an 11-dart leg established a commanding 5-1 lead. Cross checked out 84 to break back, and then held to make it 5-3 after Ratajski missed a match dart. With the Pole waiting on 36, Cross broke throw again to put himself a leg away. Voltage broke throw three times with 11-darters during the match. Tops confirmed a tense deciding leg, with Ratajski on throw. The Polish Eagle held his nerve, checking out 112. He qualifies for the UK Open with ease, despite not holding a Tour Card.

Ratajski will take on Daryl Gurney, who beat Peter Wright 6-3. The first seven legs between Wright and Gurney all went with throw. An excellent 103 checkout from Snakebite in the fourth kept things level. The Scot then missed two darts to break, allowing Gurney to check out 110 to hold again. Wright kept up the run of excellent checkouts with a 121 kill to make it 3-3. Gurney went 4-3 up, but then claimed an all-important break. A fantastic 149 checkout sealed Superchin’s spot in the final. Defeat meant Wright lost in all four semi-finals he reached across the six UK Open qualifiers.
