Raymond van Barneveld will take part in his final event on the World Series with only the Finals to potentially come for the Dutch legend and he wants to go out with a bang in Hamilton.
Van Barneveld reached the final in Auckland last year losing out to Michael van Gerwen and he said it would mean so much if he could claim glory this time around.
‘Barney’ showed some vintage form last time out at times in Melbourne so he will hope to show that again when he faces home favourite, ‘Code Star’ Cody Harris. He still harbours memories of losing in 2015 when he missed five match darts en route against Adrian Lewis and he admits he is still not over that.
“This is my last World Series, so it would mean so much to me if I can lift this trophy,” van Barneveld told Newshub.
“I should have won in 2015 when I missed five match darts against Adrian Lewis in the final, and I’m still not over that.”Tags: NZ Darts Masters 2019, Raymond van Barneveld, World Series of Darts 2019
