Raymond van Barneveld has spent time entertaining his legions of fans at the Kings of Darts exhibition tournaments last weekend and he enjoyed it to the full.

Van Barneveld said that he has not complained for a moment during his darts retirement so far.

“I no longer feel pressure and I don’t have to worry every day about preparing for the next tournament. I actually like that. I can now be more myself and make time for my fans, I sometimes missed that during my career ”, the five-time world champion told Sportnieuws.

The Dutch legend also spoke about his love for exhibitions and also his farewell event at the Ziggo Dome next month. “I enjoy the exhibition tournaments and I enjoy entertaining the public. Also next month at my official farewell tournament, it will be a nice format with six famous darters coupled with six famous Dutch people. ”

Van Barneveld has also been spending his time on new and old hobbies since retirement. “You might laugh, but I’m having a good time building lego. In addition, I now also have more time for my other hobbies such as collecting stamps and coins. ”
