We have our first winners in Gelsenkirchen with Raymond van Barneveld & Jamie Lewis coming through against Manfred Bilderl and Nico Kurz respectively but both had different routes to win.

Van Barneveld whitewashed Bilderl who looked overawed by the occasion and as a result missed 7 darts at a double in the loss. In Barney fashion, the Dutch legend cleaned up to cruise through.
Lewis had more of a battle coming from 3-0 down to force a decider and put pressure on the impressive young German, Nico Kurz. He hit a 165 with Kurz missing one dart to win on the bull. It wasn’t the best from Lewis but experience won the day on his World Series debut.
