Dimitri van den Bergh and Vincent van der Voort eased through their opening contests at the European Darts Open as day one concludes.

Also Steve Beaton halted Raymond van Barneveld on his European Tour return as he edged him out in a 6-4 win. Barney has been brilliant in the past week but against a tough opponent in Beaton, it did not continue.
Van den Bergh saw off Ritchie Edhouse in a 6-1 victory. He hit four 180’s en route with a 94.7 average along the way.
Van der Voort also like alluded to cruised through with a 6-2 win against a potentially tough test in Wayne Jones. He averaged 90 as ‘The Dutch Destroyer’ continued his good form as of late.
