Michael van Gerwen claimed victory at the Melbourne Darts Masters after a title drought of sorts and he confidently said before the NZ Darts Masters that his rivals are now scared again.

Van Gerwen said that after the last two months, he’s going to push them to the limit to see how they cope. He added that his talent is permanent in response to criticism he has got in terms of his form.

“They are all scared again now because I won a tournament!” said Van Gerwen.

“I didn’t do too well over the last two months and now I’m back to winning ways, so I’m going to put the pressure on them and we’re going to see what’s going to happen. My talent is permanent, don’t worry about that.”

“I’m really I glad I could put in a good performance and I’m a happy man,” Van Gerwen added, speaking to DartPlayers Australia. “It’s good to be winning.”
