In latest statistics released by Christopher Kempf also known as Ochepedia, it was revealed that Michael van Gerwen has hit the most checkouts in the 161-170 range this year in PDC events.
Van Gerwen has hit 12 with 8 of which being 170’s which shows that despite criticism at times in terms of his form that he still is hitting the heights in terms of clutch finishes.
Unsurprisingly, James Wade is next on the list with 7 with ‘The Machine’ known for his clinical finishing. Adrian Lewis, Nathan Aspinall and Danny Noppert with six are up next.
Then it is the likes of Rob Cross, Gerwyn Price, Glen Durrant and even Damon Heta who hit all of his during his Brisbane Darts Masters win who close out the lists.
On the other side, Jamie Hughes has shown himself to be the unlucky player on the tour this year at times and that shows in the statistics showing most 161-170 hit by opponents. Hughes has had 9 finishes hit against him this year; similarly Cristo Reyes has only one less at 8.
