The finals have been confirmed at the BDO World Trophy with Richard Veenstra against Jim Williams and Lisa Ashton versus Anastasia Dobromyslova confirmed at the King George’s Hall in Blackburn.

To begin, in the ladies Lisa Ashton was superb against Aileen de Graaf in the first semi-final defeating her 5-4 in a deciding leg which was the highlight.

‘The Lancashire Rose’ went six perfect darts in to seal the win and she followed that up with a brilliant 134 checkout to hold her nerve and put herself one match away from reclaiming the BDO World Trophy shortly.

Joining her will be Anastasia Dobromyslova. The Russian ace put in a dominant display against best friend Lorraine Winstanley to once again get the better of her and make it three 80 plus averages in a row.

In the men’s, Richard Veenstra was first to move through. ‘Flyers’ saw off Sebastian Steyer ending his dream run in Blackburn. He averaged 80 in moving through but the Polish ace didn’t have much resistance to one of the BDO’s best going down 7-4.

Jim Williams on the other hand was superb in seeing off Mark McGrath and ending his brilliant run. He ended up winning 7-2 with a 92 average in one of the performances of the tournament to dispel the Kiwi who showed exactly how good he is.
