Richard Veenstra is up to third place in the Remote Darts League standings after claiming a clean sweep on Friday night.
Veenstra began proceedings in ninth place but added six points to his tally. He began the night with a 6-4 victory over Jim Williams and followed it up by seeing off both Thibault Tricole and Laura Turner in 6-2 victories back-to-back.
Tricole himself impressed winning 6-0 against Turner and then ending the night with a 5-5 draw against Williams. This means he is just behind Veenstra by one point in fourth place.
Paul Hogan and Justin Thompson are just ahead in first and second as the battle hots up for the play-off positions in the Remote Darts League.
In the first phase of the Remote Darts League which sees twenty evenings, all participants play against each other once. Four players are involved per night, with each player completing three matches. Matches are best of 10 legs, so a 5-5 draw is possible.
