In PDC history, 48 nine-darters have been thrown during television tournaments over the years with only two of those being hit by James Wade.
The left-hander has had to watch more often than not his opponent hit a nine darter no fewer than seven times in all. Mervyn King was the first in 2009, while he also had Phil Taylor and Brendan Dolan make history against him.
This came in 2010 in the Premier League final when Taylor hit two in a game and for Dolan it was the first double start.
He had to watch Robert Thornton do the same but he also achieved the feat in the same game with one of his two.
Michael van Gerwen has also hit one against him during the World Championship and Adrian Lewis also rounds out the list in the 2016 Premier League.
