Glen Durrant was millimetres away from completing a spectacular 9-dart leg at the Grand Slam of Darts last night. The last remaining BDO representative was trailing PDC world number 2 Peter Wright 15-9 at the time.
Wright would eventually go on to win the encounter 16-10 and will now face fellow Scot Gary Anderson in Sundays Semi-final.
If Glen had hit the double it would have been the second televised 9-darter in 3 events. Stablemate Kyle Anderson produced perfection just 2 weeks ago in the European Championship finals.
Durrant has also said this week that should the PDC give him a tour card he would make the switch of codes. Could we being seeing more darts like this in the PDC next year?
