James Wade is known as one of the most proficient players of all time in PDC darts but new statistics which have been released by PremiumDartData show he could have been even more prolific.

Wade has lost 37 PDC ranking finals in his career so far showing how good he has been but also how unlucky he has been. This was in an era mostly though where Phil Taylor dominated.

Taylor himself is on the list having lost 27 finals in his stellar career; as is Michael van Gerwen who has had 21. Adrian Lewis is second with 29 in his career also.

The likes of Dave Chisnall and Terry Jenkins who are known as two ‘nearly-men’ of sorts in darts in terms of TV titles are also on the list having both lost 19 finals.

These statistics show that even the best players could have won more which is the case with Wade and even Taylor and Van Gerwen.
