Jermaine Wattimena was heavily disappointed after his defeat (10-12) to James Wade on Monday evening in the first round of the World Matchplay.
‘The Machine Gun’ realized that he left a good chance to send Wade, a former World Matchplay champion, homewards. Especially the doubles blocked the way to next round for Wattimena.
“I was leading 3-1 and I missed two darts for 4-1”, said the Dutchman about a missed opportunity earlier in the game. ”James was not better then me, both averages were close to each other as well.”
”The heat did not affect my game, I can only blame myself. I hit a couple of good finishes (104 and 113), but that’s worth nothing if you lose.”
