Simon Whitlock is eager to go all the way in a World Series event while down under after a good start to proceedings in Auckland.

Whitlock reached the semi-finals of the event building on some good form shown at the World Matchplay.

Finally he said he is ready to go in his home country as for him it would be the perfect place to claim a title.

“I was feeling confident coming over here and that has only grown,” said Whitlock to his management Modus Darts.

“It is always nice to beat the World Champion but I believe I am as good as Rob and should be winning matches against the few players that are ranked higher than me.

“I was disappointed I didn’t turn up against Peter Wright at the World Matchplay but I keep getting tougher and my best form is front of me.

“I’m ready to go all the way in Australia. It’s the perfect place for me to do it.”
