Simon Whitlock saw off Daryl Gurney last night in the World Series of Darts Finals in Vienna, a first win on TV for the Wizard against him.

The recent European Championship finalist trailed 5-3 and survived seven match darts but found a way to turn it around.
He spoke afterwards of his delight of finally defeating Daryl and said that it was a great feeling.

“I’m so happy to finally beat Daryl on TV, I’ve waited a long time for this moment,” said Whitlock.

“I was nervous in the last leg but I managed to hold it all together and take out the winning double, that was a really great feeling.”
