The evening session of the first day of action at the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen has seen 3 big names come through their respective first round clashes. They include Danny Noppert who claimed another win over Krzysztof Ratajski.
He did so with a 99.73 average in a 6-3 victory which was some would say his best performance on the European Tour so far in his relatively short time competing on it.
Noppert will play Gerwyn Price tomorrow who lost last time out in the final in Graz. In addition, Jermaine Wattimena is through. He held his nerve to see off Toni Alcinas in a deciding leg 6-5. ‘Machine Gun’ survived a match dart from Alcinas but will be back tomorrow to face Jelle Klaasen.
Finally, Jamie Lewis saw off Host Nation Qualifier Christian Bunse 6-4 which means he will face Daryl Gurney tomorrow but with him hitting a 91 average he will need to improve that to see off ‘Superchin’.
