Peter Wright goes into the Premier League aiming to improve his form to get back to the heights of before.
Wright’s aim is claiming the £25,000 League bonus he has said in a recent interview with Red Dragon Darts. He has also made no excuses for his form despite having gall stone problems previously.
“My wife Jo tells me to stick to the darts but I don’t listen. But she’s not on stage and doesn’t throw the darts!”
“I’m sticking with the darts but tinker with the points, stems and flights like any other dart player does.”
“I’m fresh, I’m back and ready to go. I’m looking forward to winning the £25,000 bonus for finishing No.1, that’s my target this year.”
“I didn’t play well at all last year but still won three tournaments, one of the World Series so it’s not bad but nowhere near where I want it to be.”
“Obviously the gallstones problems and losing weight affected me but it shouldn’t do. There’s no excuse about losing weight. I don’t know what it was last year to be honest, maybe not in the right frame of mind.”
