Five last-minute cancellations have been made for the fifth Players Championship tournament of the season. Among others, Gerwyn Price chose not to travel to Hildesheim, Germany.
A Players Championship tournament will be played on Monday and Tuesday, while Price is expected in Dublin as early as Wednesday. There, the eighth round of Premier League Darts will be played on Thursday.
Jim Williams, Matt Campbell, Rob Cross and Ryan Joyce also withdrew from Players Championship 5. Six alternates were added to the tournament, as one additional spot remained due to previous cancellations. Romeo Grbavac, Wesley Plaisier, John Henderson, Connor Scutt, Reece Colley and Thomas Lovely are the six players added to the field of competitors.
