Humphries, Van Veen, Noppert and Szaganski into semifinals of Players Championship 8

The semi-final lineup is complete at Players Championship 8 in Leicester. Luke Humphries, Gian Van Veen, Danny Noppert and Radek Szaganski joining the last four.

Van Veen struggled past Stefan Bellmont. The Dutchman had won four of the first five legs, but then failed to make it 5-1. It allowed Bellmont to come back to 5-5. Van Veen was in time to take the deciding leg via tops. In the semi-final, Van Veen will take on reigning world champion Humphries. The Englishman was a 6-4 in a titanic tussle with Gary Anderson.

At the other end of the draw, Noppert made it to the semifinals by defeating compatriot Kevin Doets 6-3. Radek Szaganski will be Noppert's next opponent after the Pole won 6-5 over Andrew Gilding in the last eight.
