Joe Cullen joins elite company on European Tour: only fifth player to play more than 2,000 legs

Joe Cullen came up short in the final of the Austrian Darts Open on Sunday night. 'The Rockstar' went down 8-4 against Luke Littler in Graz.

In the semi-finals, Cullen took a 7-5 victory over Stephen Bunting. In the fifth leg of that semi-final however, Cullen wrote a piece of history, as it was his 2,000th leg on the European Tour. Notably, Cullen has now gone on to 2,019 thanks to the legs that followed, with just Michael van Gerwen (3,394), Peter Wright (2,681), Dave Chisnall (2,255) and Michael Smith (2,052) in the illustrious group alongside 'the Rockstar'.

The 34-year-old Englishman has been majorly successful on occasion on the European Tour in the past. He has won three tournaments, European Darts Matchplay 2019, International Darts Open 2020 and Hungarian Darts Trophy 2022. Cullen has also moved up to 15th place in the world rankings thanks to his final place.
