Ritchie Edhouse impresses again on European Tour with victory over James Wade, Stephen Bunting eases through

Ritchie Edhouse continues to impress on the European Tour in recent weeks. The Englishman has defeated compatriot James Wade in the first round of the European Darts Grand Prix.

Edhouse surprisingly reached the quarterfinals at the Euro Tour tournament in Riesa last week after fine victories over Michael Smith and Rob Cross. The tournament in Sindelfingen thus begins once again with an upset victory for 'The Madhouse'.

After a 1-1 score after two legs, Edhouse stepped on the gas pedal by throwing an 11-darter and a 12-darter to take a 4-1 lead. Wade was not out in five visits in the sixth leg and then got a 90 finish from Edhouse. Wade closed to 5-2 before Edhouse decided the match with a 14-darter.

Stephen Bunting will also return in the second round of the European Darts Grand Prix. The Bullet had little trouble with his Croatian opponent Romeo Grbavac. It was 6-1 for Bunting, who averaged 98.60.
