"Rotterdam is probably the worst out of the 16 venues" - Nathan Aspinall unhappy with conditions despite Night 12 win in Premier League

Nathan Aspinall took victory on Night 12 of the 2024 Premier League Darts. It was the second year in a row Aspinall triumphed in Rotterdam.

For Aspinall it was also the second weekly title this year, although he has also lost three finals. “I’ve played in Rotterdam twice and I’ve won here twice,” reflected Aspinall afterwards. “The game against Luke [Humphries] was massive. It gave me a shot against Michael [Smith] to try and open the gap, and that was a big win. I thought I played well. I felt like I controlled the final. I wasn’t amazing, but my 140s were brilliant, and I know if I’m scoring well, there aren’t many people that can beat me."

Aspinall, however, was left unimpressed with the conditions inside the Ahoy. "You all know I can't say too much, but all I'm saying is it was bad conditions. Rotterdam is probably the worst out of the 16 venues. It's not great, but I can't say what I'm about to say," Aspinall evaluated somewhat mysteriously in his post-match press conference.

In the Premier League Darts standings, Aspinall climbs to third place. "Last year I missed out [on the Play-Offs] on nightly wins and I was on 24 points. We said a few weeks ago 26 was the target, but looking at the table, I think that might be a push!" Aspinall concludes. “I think it’s fantastic - credit to all the lads. They have made this Premier League so exciting. It’s the most enjoyable one I’ve been involved in, and there’s still a lot to play for.”
