Steve Lennon sends home Gerwyn Price in second round of Players Championship 3

In arguably the biggest surprise of the day so far, Steve Lennon has ended Gerwyn Price's hopes at Players Championship 3 in Leicester.

The Irishman triumphed 6-3 against the former world champion and world number one. Notable names such as Jose de Sousa, Ricardo Pietreczko, Martin Schindler and Andrew Gilding also did not get past the second round.

Elsewhere, the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith, Jonny Clayton, Peter Wright, Damon Heta, Raymond van Barneveld and Chris Dobey all kept their hopes of their first Pro Tour success of the season alive.

Both of the previous Players Championship winners this season are still going strong as well with Luke Littler and Gary Anderson both into the last 32.
