Last Thursday, Night 12 of the 2024 Premier League Darts campaign took place in Rotterdam, Netherlands. An interested observer in the crowd was Dirk van Duijvenbode.
Van Duijvenbode, the current world number 13, came to Ahoy as a spectator. "It still remains a dream to be on stage here myself one day," he said. "This is much bigger than other things in the PDC. It's pretty fun to be here as a spectator, but playing a lot of big tournaments yourself makes you want to be here mainly as a player."
Will the 31-year-old Dutchman ever manage to play Premier League Darts. "Nobody knows, but I'm going to try," he says confidently. "It would be great in every way. Besides, I also live near here, so there would be a lot of friends and relatives coming."
