''The Premier League can be brutal at times'' - Rob Cross on the backfoot in race for playoffs after four successive defeats

Rob Cross has now gone a month without points in Premier League Darts. 'Voltage' lost his last four matches and now, league leader Luke Littler also awaits this Thursday night.

''The Premier League can be brutal at times,'' Cross admitted in conversation with the PDC. "I feel like I've let myself down over the last few weeks. I haven't played well enough by my standards, but one week can change everything, so I'm going to fight for everything now.''

However, the 2018 world champion expects to put up a good match against Littler. ''I played some good matches this week on the ProTour and I found my level again, so I expect a better performance.''

Cross recently faced Littler in the final of the Belgian Darts Open. After a thrilling match, ''The Nuke'' prevailed 8-7. ''Luke is fantastic for the game. He's won the last two weeks so it will be tough, but if I'm resilient I will buy myself a few chances, and if I take them, I believe I'll win."
