The World Matchplay will begin this weekend at the Winter Gardens and DartsNews continues to look back at some memorable moments and matches from the prestigious summer tournament.
One of the most iconic nine-dart finishes came back in 2012 by Wes Newton. He was tied up at 5-5 against Justin Pipe but smashed in perfection to surge in to the lead and it sent the crowd into raptures after they had just seen one only 24 hours earlier by Michael van Gerwen against Steve Beaton.
