Porter and Hammond triumph at WDF Australian Masters

The Australian city of Geelong was the battleground of the Australian Masters last weekend, where men and women competed for a WDF silver category title.

Danny Porter won the men's tournament. The Australian led 6-1 against Harley Kamp in the final, but could only struggle to win the overall victory 7-6. Former PDC Tour Card holder Gordon Mathers was surprisingly eliminated by Kemp in the quarter-finals.

In the women's event, Corinne Hammond managed to win another WDF title on Australian soil for the first time since 2018. She easily defeated Chrisitne Sheerin (6-0) in the final for her fifth title at the Australian Masters. Hammond did not concede a leg in the entire singles tournament, in which she played eight matches.
