Highest average for Van Veen at Players Championship 20

The 20th Players Championship of the year was won by Luke Humphries, who defeated Kevin Doets 8-6 in the final.

The highest average of the day came in the name of Gian van Veen. The Dutchman defeated compatriot Damian Mol 6-0 in the first round with an average of 111.33. Van Veen went out 6-0 against Callan Rydz one round later.

Humphries, for his part, had the second highest average. He achieved that in the semifinals, when he won 7-1 over Callan Rydz and averaged 107.14.

The top three is completed by Josh Rock. Remarkably, the young Northern Irishman achieved an average of 107.11 at the last sixteen, but still went down 6-3 against Michael Smith (who himself had an average of 106.55).
