The PDC Players Championship Finals is another chance for players to bag a major title.

It follows hot on the heels of the Grand Slam of Darts. Gerwyn Price took that title in controversial circumstances; it could be a little quieter in Minehead. Price's fellow Welshman, Jonny Clayton, caused a stir by reaching the final of the 2017 Players Championship Finals. Could we see another surprise run, or will the PDC big boys dominate at Butlin's?

Time for Big Ben

Jeffrey de Zwaan stunned Michael van Gerwen at Minehead earlier this year, in front of nobody. Luckily he managed to do it again in Blackpool. His bid to topple bigger Dutch stars continues against Jelle Klaasen. That match starts off the Main Stage session. Following on from them are Max Hopp's meeting with Steve West, and Keegan Brown taking on Benito van de Pas. Big Ben sneaks in through the back door thanks to . Adrian Lewis plays Adam Hunt, before Australia's two biggest talents collide - Simon Whitlock will have his work cut out against World Cup partner Kyle Anderson. Daryl Gurney, after missing the Grand Slam, will want to be back with a bang against Robert Thornton. And James Wade rounds off the session against Ross Smith.

Bring on The Wall

That's just half of the action - nine games take place on Stage Two. Brendan Dolan opens the session against Challenge Tour champion Michael Barnard, before Josh Payne plays Ryan Searle. Nathan Aspinall, winner of a Players Championship event this season, has a tough tie against Martin Schindler. The Wall is followed by a fellow German, Gabriel Clemens, whose opponent is Goldfinger himself, Andrew Gilding.
Ryan Joyce versus Steve Lennon is succeeded by 2010 runner-up Mervyn King's tie with Simon Stevenson. Stephen Bunting plays Richard North before another of the Players Championship event winners, Mickey Mansell, plays Madars Razma. Last up is Dave Chisnall taking on Jamie Lewis. There's plenty of darts to digest in Minehead.
