"He's just got something that's different": Clayton praises Price's mindset as main quality he admires in Welsh World Cup of Darts teammate

Jonny Clayton will again team with Gerwyn Price next month at the World Cup of Darts and as part of a Team Wales chat, he joked that he needs to start shouting and getting on the back of the crowd again.

"My only complaint with Gezzy is that he needs to start geeing the crowd up again. He's gone quiet, I'm not happy with that," said Clayton to Polly James for Sport in Wales.

"He needs to shout again. I've got total respect for Gezzy Price. Great friend, a great guy, and a fantastic dart player. What more do you want in a teammate. Probably one of the lucky ones. Genuinely cannot wait."

But he also took time out to speak about what he admired in Price and the one quality he wished he had.

"I wish I could count as good as him." he joked. "All jokes aside, I think Gezzy's mindset is fantastic. He's got something. I'm happy go lucky but when I stand behind Gezzy, I look at him sometimes and think whatever is going on in your head I wish I could have as he's just got something that's different. I believe in my darts, I believe in my game but Gezzy's got that belief, it amazes me."
