The BDO has announced a three-year deal with the famous venue Circus Tavern and the Civic Hall to host the World Masters, commencing with the tournament in October this year.
The initial rounds of the World Masters will be held at the Civic Hall in Grays. Only the best 32 men and eight ladies go through to the stage finals, which will take place in the famous Circus Tavern.
In addition it was revealed that the seeded players have to start in the floor stages. This means that exciting clashes are already possible in the first rounds of the tournament. This also means that the seeded players are not guaranteed to perform in the Circus Tavern, where the live finals are played.
The men's tournament at the Civic Hall begins on October 23, followed by the women, boys and girls on October 24. From October 25-27 the live finals will take place on the big stage of the Circus Tavern, where the four World Masters champions will be decided.
