Hammond said that it is definitely a confidence booster to win against Pruim considering it is her first win as a result in the tournament since losing the final in 2017 and that from her perspective, she is very pleased with the new venue.
"I definitely am. I haven't won a game at the World Championship since I made the final in 2017 so that's been three years now so I'm very happy. After I was two legs down in the first set, I thought this could be over pretty quickly; you need to dig in and have a shot," said Hammond to Tungsten Tales.
"I mean every game is a hard game so whenever you win one you've got to be satisfied to be able to do that."
"This is a great venue. I'm really quite impressed with it, the crowd is good. So I'm quite excited to be able to play another game."
