The twelfth night of action in the Remote Darts League takes place on Saturday night with James Richardson aiming to reclaim his place at the top of the league.
One of the only players not to have played nine games so far, he is in sixth place currently with five wins, one draw and no defeats with 11 points. For reference, Paul Hogan is currently top with 16 points from nine games.
As the winner of the first iteration of the
Remote Darts League, Saturday could be big for Richardson's aspirations of retaining the title.
Two players who are also involved are
John O'Shea and
Darren Herewini. The latter recovered from a poor start to record two wins and a draw and the same again could propel him up the table.
O'Shea is just ahead having only lost once so far but having won two and drawn three of his games. A good night similarly could have positive repercussions for his campaign.
The line-up is concluded by
Lorraine Winstanley who first and foremost will hope to claim her first points of the campaign having been defeated in all six games so far. Currently in 14th place just behind Laura Turner.
In the first phase of the Remote Darts League which sees twenty evenings, all participants play against each other once. Four players are involved per night, with each player completing three matches. Matches are best of 10 legs, so a 5-5 draw is possible.
After twenty days of action, the top four in the league will advance to the playoffs, which are scheduled for Monday, June 8.
