Christian Kist followed in the footsteps of Raymond van Barneveld and Jelle Klaasen in 2012 by winning the BDO World Championship
‘The Lipstick’ was making his debut in at the Lakeside at that time. After a nice opening win against Jan Dekker (3-2), Kist was too strong for Geert de Vos (4-2), Alan Norris (5-1) and Ted Hankey (6-5) to claim a place in the final. He then beat Tony O'Shea 7-5 to crown himself world champion.
