John Goldie achieved perfection at the second European Tour qualifier in Barnsley.

The Scot struck a nine-darter in his last 144 tie against Brendan Dolan. However, he will not be taking part in European Tour 2, as Dolan came out the 6-3 winner. John Goldie may not have progressed, but a namesake did. John Part edged out Paul Nicholson 6-5 in a close encounter. The Asset missed two match darts before the two-time world champion stepped in to go through. Andrew Gilding beat Ricky Evans in a decider, while Bryn Suckley, Joe Murnan, Darren Johnson and Callum Loose all did the same.

Jame Hughes impressed in Euopean Tour 1 qualifying, but was edged out 6-5 by Eddie Dootson at the first time of asking. Raymond van Barneveld is safely through, however. Barney thrashed Steven Kirkby 6-1.
