Mensur Suljovic has risen to fourth in the latest European Tour Order of Merit table.

The Gentle recorded a landmark win in Vienna, claiming his third European Tour title at the Austrian Darts Championship. Sunday’s dramatic 8-7 victory over Michael van Gerwen netted Suljovic the £25,000 winner’s pot. That lifts his seasonal earnings to £52,500, putting him ahead of Dave Chisnall and Peter Wright.

Van Gerwen still tops the table, having picked up £125,000. Then comes Ian White and Daryl Gurney, followed by Suljovic.

Gerwyn Price is behind Wright in seventh, with Jamie Hughes in eighth, thanks mostly to his Czech Darts Open win. Rob Cross and Stephen Bunting round off the top ten.

Spots at the European Championship are being fought for, with just three European Tour events left in the season. That fight is becoming intense lower in the Order of Merit.

Brendan Dolan’s first round win in Vienna lifts him ahead of Max Hopp, who now occupies 32nd place. Hopp will be at the European Darts Matchplay, giving him the opportunity to boost his prospects of an appearance in Göttingen.

Rowby-John Rodriguez’s Austrian Darts Championship heroics propelled him up the rankings. But he and Raymond van Barneveld, who are £500 behind Hopp, will be at neither the European Darts Matchplay, nor the International Darts Open in Riesa. Players further down the Order of Merit will need to post strong performances in Mannheim, Riesa or Gibraltar to be in with a shout.

Cameron Menzies is the newest member of the European Tour Order of Merit. Thanks to wins over Kevin Münch, Michael Smith and Adrian Lewis, which led to a quarter-final berth, the affable Scot sits 52nd with £5,000 earned.
