Adrian Lewis has claimed his first title in nearly two years seeing off Raymond van Barneveld at Players Championship Eight in Wigan.

Lewis was 3-2 down but reeled off six consecutive legs to claim the title and end his title drought.
It started off brilliantly with the Stoke-on-Trent ace hitting a 138 checkout to go one-nil up in the early going.
Barney hit back with 110 and 118 checkouts but unfortunately that wasn’t a catalyst for him.
Lewis stormed towards the finish giving the Dutch legend only small opportunities to hit back.
He finally completed the job but for Barney as well this will be a success due to his final year potentially sinking without a trace and now he has proved he can do it on the ProTour again.
