After last week's "Legends Week," which was won by Richie Howson, another regular week of play of the MODUS Super Series is scheduled this week. After the first day, Adam Sevada is in the lead. The American won all his five matches and thus currently totals 10 points, two more than his closest pursuer.
The MODUS Super Series is a weekly tournament with 12 players competing Monday through Friday for a spot in the final group, which takes place on Saturday night. The player who finishes first after three sessions qualifies directly for the final night on Saturday night. On final night, players compete in a small group stage, followed by semifinals and a final to determine the weekly winner.
The competition begins again the following week, with twelve new players competing for the title. After twelve weeks of competition, all weekly winners compete in "Champions Week," which is played every thirteen weeks of play to determine who wins the series and one with the top prize of £20,000.
Sevada impresses
Monday saw the first day of play in Week 1 of Super Series 10. In it, Adam Sevada was by far the strongest, winning all his matches. He also averaged 110 on his debut. Second place is occupied for now by Jack Tweddell, who totals eight points. In third place we find Scott Taylor with six points, followed by Gary Stone with four points. Arne Spee is penultimate with two points and Dutchman Bradly Roes is, for now, pointless last.
The MODUS Super Series continues today with the second day of play in Group A, another chance for Roes to get his first win and perhaps move up a bit in the standings.
