Gary Anderson thrashes Luke Humphries in York as Gerwyn Price whitewashes Stephen Bunting in Colchester

It was a double dose of exhibitions for the big names on Saturday night as Gerwyn Price, Stephen Bunting, Nathan Aspinall, Gary Anderson and Luke Humphries who all decided not to play in Graz this weekend played in either York or Colchester.

After the Armageddon exhibition in Leicester which saw many of those names involved, it was to further MDA/MODUS exhibitions in Colchester for Gerwyn Price who emerged on top in the showpiece clash against Bunting whitewashing The Bullet 6-0. He also saw off John Part 3-0 in the opening match of the night.

It was also a night that saw Adrian Lewis in action as he first saw off Mason Whitlock, son of Simon with 'The Wizard' also playing and facing off against Bunting, in that tie it was a 3-2 win for Bunting over the elder Whitlock.

While before Bunting faced Price, Nathan Aspinall was also involved with 'The Asp' taking down Adrian Lewis 6-3. 'Jackpot' said earlier in the week that he wanted to return to win a third World title and continues to get matches in against the big names in this exhibition environment.

Over in York, it was Anderson and Humphries that starred. Humphries was thrashed by the legendary Flying Scotsman 6-1 in the end with a 102.37 average, seven 180's and a 144 checkout. Anderson very much at his pomp as he has shown in bursts in the past 18 months. Humphries fresh off his Leeds homecoming in the Premier League where he lost to Littler in the final.

Humphries, though, did get a win as he downed Tom Sykes with a 106.54 average. The Castleford ace averaged 96.55 in pushing his fellow Tour Card holder. Richie Parkin also faced off with Anderson, and he was well beaten 3-0 with a 92 average from Anderson.

While The Gambler - Graham Usher took down Robert Thornton 3-0 in the other tie of note on Saturday. He sealed victory with a 152 checkout in the ed.
