In the first week of play of the MODUS Super Series 10, the first matches of Groups B and C were completed on Thursday. Earlier, Gary Stone as winners of Group A managed to qualify for the Final Stage on Saturday.
The MODUS Super Series is a weekly tournament with 12 players competing from Monday through Friday for a spot in the final group, which takes place on Saturday night. The player who finishes first after three sessions qualifies directly for the final night on Saturday night. On final night, players compete in a small group stage, followed by semifinals and a final to determine the weekly winner.
The competition begins again the following week, with twelve new players competing for the title. After twelve weeks of competition, all weekly winners compete in "Champions Week," which is played every thirteen weeks of play to determine who wins the series and one with the top prize of £20,000.
After Gary Stone crowned himself the winner of Group A earlier, the first matches from Groups B and C were completed on Thursday. In Group B, Adam Sevada is provisionally in the lead. The American won four of his five matches and leads with eight points, four more than closest pursuers Jack Tweddell and Jake Womack. Richard Rowlands and Ross Montgomery count two points each.
In Group C, Neil Mister leads with a perfect report after five wins in a row. Behind them follow Alec Small with eight points, Scott Taylor with six points and Joe Croft with four points. In fifth place, we find Bradly Roes. The Dutchman competed in Group A earlier this week, but lost all of his 15 matches. On Thursday, he finally managed to eliminate the zero of table with a 4-3 win against Arne Spee. Roes now has two points, Spee remains stuck at zero for now.
