VIDEO: Is this the worst thrown dart ever from darts legend Martin Adams?

Martin Adams is one of the players making his appearance in the MODUS Super Series this week. Last Tuesday, one of his darts left Adams' hand in a very unusual way.

He played a match against Chris Gilliland on Tuesday. 'Wolfie' was behind after five legs and had to win the sixth leg to win a deciding leg. After Gilliland started the sixth leg with a 135 score, Adams threw his first dart of leg six just under the treble 20. The second dart ended up in the treble 20.

Adams then tried to throw his third dart next to his second dart, but went badly wrong with it. The dart slipped out of his hand and came out of his hand at the end of the oche. Since "Wolfie" had already made his throwing motion, he was not allowed to throw the dart again.

Adams is a well-known darter best known for his long and successful career in the British Darts Organization (BDO). With this, he became world champion at Lakeside in 2007, 2010 and 2011.

The now 68-year-old remained loyal to the BDO his entire career, only making a trip to the PDC to participate in the Grand Slam of Darts in 2015 and 2016. At that tournament, Adams managed to get past the group stage once.

After the demise of the BDO in 2020, Adams continued his career with the World Seniors Darts Tour (WSDT). He also makes regular appearances at exhibition tournaments and online tournaments such as the MODUS Super Series.

While participating in the MODUS Super Series, then called the Online Darts Live League, Adams managed to throw two nine darters in a four-month span in 2021. On the World Seniors Darts Tour, Adams managed to reach the final of the World Seniors Darts Championship in 2022. That one was lost 5-1 in sets against Robert Thornton.
