Phil Taylor will be on punditry duty tonight for the MODUS Super Series Legends Lounge Final, very apt for the greatest player of all time.
Taylor had been plying his trade alongside the fellow legends on the World Seniors Tour before undergoing hip surgery and he's landed himself a gig on the MODUS Super Series. Now on Pluto TV instead of YouTube, Taylor won't be playing in it but will offer some analysis.
“I’m involved with Pluto TV, who are streaming all the stuff for MODUS," said Taylor as per The Mirror.
"It’s a free live stream, and they play some of the old stuff too. My grandkids love it."
“I’ll be there, you’re not getting rid of me that easily. I’ll be doing some punditry, hosting the show and commentating on a few games, whatever they ask me to do really.”
According to the same report, Sky Sports knocked on the door for Taylor to do some punditry or commentary work. But he knocked them back as he doesn't like being on the road too much.
Since retiring from the sport, he said he prefers staying at home with the grandkids instead of hotels hence why he wouldn't entertain Sky Sports.
“It’s ideal for me. I couldn’t work on the Sky ones, there’s too many tournaments for me.
"I wouldn’t be able to do that now. That isn’t for me, I can’t be in hotels all the time. I enjoy my life at home too much.”
