There is only 6 spots left at the European Championship to be staged at Hasselt for the last time due to it's move to Dortmund next year and only 26/32 of the players are safe.
The 3 time defending champion Michael van Gerwen will be after a 4th title after losing out in the last two majors to Phil Taylor and in the group stages of the Champions League of Darts.
Of those who are involved in the race to Hasselt, Ronny Huybrechts is the only one who looks to be practically safe with the Rebel currently 2,000 better off than the rest of the Order of Merit chasing him.
Max Hopp looks the most in trouble with the Maximiser in danger if he doesn't qualify for ET12 and Jamie Bain, Chris Quantock or James Wilson do with all of them currently on the same amount of money. Jan Dekker is the only one who is currently assured of his place in Gottingen meaning he is most likely to qualify but it will be interesting to see who comes through the qualifiers on Friday as to who is still involved in the race to the Euros.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
